The weather forecast for today was not
good throughout the week
It promised 60% chance of rain
throughout the period we were due to walk
The forecast changed day by day, and
often many times a day
But on Sunday morning it was 25c and
dry throughout the morning
So I sent the email to confirm the
walk
It was about 21c as we met in Lliber
But the humidity was very high, and the clouds black
As you can see from the first photo it
looked like it might rain at any time
However it was sunny and blue sky in
the direction of Senija
The sky quickly cleared as we walked
And the temperatures rose
So did the humidity
Half of the walk to Senija is on a
difficult, rocky track
And it was hard going for most of the
group
Even worse for Martin who was
suffering with Plantar Faciitis
I have suffered with this complaint
for many years
So I know only too well how painful it
can be
Despite the pain he choose to continue the walk rather
than return to Lliber
Because of the heat the pace was slower than normal
And it took us four hours to complete
the walk
We were all very pleased to get back
to Lliber square and a long cold drink
Temperature – 21 to 25c
Time taken – 4 hours
Distance – 11km
